I had a little bit of an idea of what to expect when Marvel brought Jessica Jones to life on Netflix, but what expectations I had were blown away once I hit play. Krysten Ritter is amazing as everyone's favorite, alcoholic PI (and what's funny is Krysten is the polar opposite of Jessica in real life, just check out her Instagram for proof #JessicaJonesWouldntKnit) 

As what continues to be a running theme with me, Jessica Jones is a warm costume, even without the winter coat. The wig is warm, the faux leather jacket is warm, jeans and boots are warm...but Jessica Jones has a uniform and she sticks to it. She's not feminine, she's built up a hard exterior to avoid getting emotionally hurt, and caring about how she looks is very low on the priority list.

I love cosplaying as Jessica Jones, even if she's not as recognizable as other characters. Maybe that'll change with The Defenders dropping on Netflix in a few weeks ?It certainly stretches my abilities as a cosplayer to act as a character who's so damaged and bitter at the world.
