Detroit Rock City! (Warning photo heavy!)

Warning, this post is extremely photo and video heavy so if you have a slower internet connection you may not want to try and read this post.

If you remember I had made a previous blog post about Paul McCartney. Well the fates decided to play in my favor and Chauncey and I were able to travel to Detroit to go see Sir Paul. The show was on a Sunday, so I worked Sunday morning and as soon as I got off we threw our stuff into the car and took off for Detroit. The show wasn't till 8pm and we made such good time that we arrived around 5:30pm. The doors were supposed to open at 6pm but Paul's sound check ran long so they didn't open till 6:30pm. However where we were standing by the gates we were able to see Paul on the stage doing his sound check! It was almost like getting a mini concert before the actual show! Once we were let in we found our seats which were amazing. We were quite a ways from the actual stage but we were quite happy to have an awning over our heads once it started raining. Luckily it cleared out within minutes of Paul taking the stage and we were blessed with pretty good weather for the entire show. Let me say, Paul did NOT disappoint. He rocked the house for a full three hours, although I wouldn't have minded if he had gone for longer. I could probably go on and on about how awesome and amazing Paul was but I'll let the pictures do the talking, enjoy!!!!
