Fashion Feature: Summer Lookbook Featuring Sunglasses from Warby Parker

Just like our good friend Olaf the Snowman, I've been wishing and hoping for summer to arrive, and now it finally has! I don't know about you, but my summer this year is jam packed with events and vacations, so I'm going to be spend a lot of time outside. And that means making sure I've got a good pair of sunglasses on me to protect my eyes from the sun's rays. So when the folks at Warby Parker approached me about reviewing some of their product, I thought it would be fun to put together a lookbook with outfits I'll be sporting this summer and pair each one with a fun set of sunglasses.

Along with their regular line, Warby Parker has three new lines just for this summer: The Summer 2014 Collection with 9 new shapes and 4 new colors; The Spectrum Sun Collection; and The Architecture for Humanity Collection. And all of their styles begin at as little as $95! One of Warby Parker's awesome features is, if you don't live near one of their retail locations, you can have their products shipped right to you to try on with their at-home try on program. You can pick up to 5 pairs of glasses (the new Spectrum and Architecture lines are excluded), and they will ship them to you for free, and you have 5 full days to try them on, and then ship them back for free (a pre-paid mailing label is included). Many of their frames are available either as glasses or sunglasses (with or without a prescription). And if you require a prescription, once you decide on a pair, you send Warby Parker your prescription information and they'll make the glasses with your prescription (note that the frames they send for try on purposes use non-prescription demo lenses). Pretty cool right?

Overall I was really impressed with the quality of all of the pairs I chose. I'm pretty tough on my sunglasses, so the higher quality frames are a plus. Even with the demo lenses, I found them to be effective at filtering out the sunlight. The Ormsby and The Cliff were a bit snug on my head. As the Warby Parker website lists the sizing for all their styles, I'd probably make sure to note the sizes for those two and avoid any others with similar sizing as I don't think that's something that could be adjusted. I loved the Raskin, as aviators are my favorite style of sunglasses, I even wore these after the pictures were taken to run a few errands. I also really liked the Mabel considering the shape isn't normally something I would gravitate towards. So if you are in the market for some new glasses or sunglasses, I highly suggest giving Warby Parker a try.
