After the flood....
So if you haven't heard, our apartment was flooded several weeks ago because a pipe burst in the wall of the apartment above us. You can read all about it and see pictures here.
It's now been two weeks since the flood happened and we're still recovering. We made an insurance claim with our renter's insurance, however our total is less our deductible so we're at a loss. They have cleaned our carpets twice, plus fixed the ceiling where it opened up and painted to cover the stains. However we still have an obvious musty smell and now I'm starting to get sick.

Now it's not for sure that our apartment is making me sick, at first I thought it was just allergies but it's been two days and I still feel terrible. My mother came to visit the other day and within 30 minutes of her being here her nose started to get stuffy and make her feel ill. Chauncey isn't feeling to well either, but he isn't as bad as I am, but both my mom and I have asthma so it wouldn't surprise me if we feel it more. The apartment people are supposedly going to come and peel back our carpeting and check for moisture and mold and see if they can clean even more (which after two weeks I'm curious to see what it looks like).
Has anyone else ever been in a situation like this? We both feel like we're kinda stuck and not sure what we should do next?
All I know is that we can't keep living in this mess so something has to give.
That just plain "stinks"
