WDW December Trip Pt.1 Traveling, pirate beds and dinner in Mom's kitchen

Just like I knew I would be, I was too excited the night before to get any decent sleep. I was up almost 30 minutes before my alarm was set to go off. I ate breakfast while I let Chauncey sleep in till the alarm went off. We threw the last of our toiletries into our bags and took off for the airport. I had been concerned about it being rush hour and the construction going on near the airport on potentially making our drive longer than usual, thankfully that wasn't the case. We parked in the economy long-term parking and hopped the bus to the main terminal. Being a Thursday morning it wasn't really busy and we checked our bags and got our boarding passes fairly quickly. Going through security was also really easy, the scanner they use works really quickly and soon we were at our gate. We were in Group B (flying Southwest) so we were in the middle of getting boarded but we managed to get a row to ourselves since the flight wasn't full. We took off early and had a really uneventful flight. The in-cabin crew was great, they were cracking jokes and they created "crowns" made out of the bags of peanuts and gave them to two people who were flying for the very first time (one was a girl who was about 9 and the other was a lady who was in her 70s). Before we knew it we had landed and made our way down to Magical Express.

We had a bit of a wait for our bus but thankfully it wasn't too long of a wait. Our first stop was our resort, Caribbean Beach! It was our first time staying at CB and we were quite excited. We checked in and hopped on the internal bus to our building in Trinidad South (we were staying in a pirate themed room and they are only in TS). Our room was awesome! I love everything pirates so I was really excited about staying here.

We dumped our stuff off and headed over to Old Port Royale to grab some lunch and then headed to our first park, Disney's Hollywood Studios!

Even though we didn't get to the park until 4, we managed to ride the Great Movie Ride, Star Tours, Tower of Terror, Rock n Roller Coaster and Muppet Vision 3D before our ADR at 50's Prime Time at 7pm.

Chauncey filming Sunset Blvd in 3D, he also filmed the Great Movie Ride so stay tuned for those

We sat at the bar having drinks while we waited for our ADR, Chauncey owed me a drink since we had a bet going about who would win the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship and I won! We ended up getting seated for our ADR about 20 minutes late which in the end was okay since we had eaten such a late lunch. After stuffing ourselves with fried chicken and s'mores we waddled out of the park and back to our room.
