Our Disney Wedding! (Part 1 of many)
December 8th, 2009 THE BIG DAY!
Before I knew it my alarm was going off at 6am and I was out of bed. Jenni (my matron of honor and cousin of the groom) hopped in the shower while I went down to the food court to get us something to eat. I made sure to send Chauncey a text to make sure he wasn't down there. I picked up some cereal and a couple of pastries and by the time I got back Jenni was out of the shower and bustling around getting stuff together. Almost right at 7am there was a knock on the door and the gal from Beauty Speciale had arrived to do my hair and make-up. She was really nice and listened to what I wanted and looked at the example pics and soon she was at work. Not long after there was another knock on the door and it was the people from Carolyn Allen's to steam my dress. They hung it from the door to the bathroom and got right to work. It was a husband and wife and the husband was funny talking to me about sports (I'm a HUGE sports junkie and had ESPN on the TV all morning) which helped me keep calm.
Tweeter (Chauncey's mom) and Terry (Chauncey's dad) showed up in the midst of the chaos so Tweeter could take the "morning of" and first look pictures. Terry excused himself to my dad's room to hang with the rest of the boys while Tweeter did her thing.
Checking the placement of my veil (I swear that was the hardest thing to decide!)
Jenni doing her own hair
Once my hair was done it was time for make-up
They finished steaming my dress and we bid them farewell. Then it was time for me to put it on!
It still fits!
Putting on the garter
Ready to go!
