Ch-ch-changes....

So I've been hinting on Twitter and Facebook that I've got some things planned. As of yesterday one of those plans went into action, yesterday was my last day at my current (now former) job. It took a lot of prayer and introspection to come to this decision, after all, leaving a job I've been at for almost 10 years is tough to do. Especially so since it's common knowledge about my job search troubles. But it was time for me to move on, I couldn't handle the wonky hours or the physical nature of the position, and there was nowhere for me to go unless I wanted to go into management (and there isn't enough money in the world that could get me to do that). So I tendered my resignation and my last day was yesterday.

So what does that mean for me know? I will continue my job hunt, until then I'm focusing my energy and time (something I had less of before) on this blog along with my travel agent job. I have lots of ideas for both, including something I hope to release tomorrow. For right now I'm enjoying my new found freedom and hope that I can put forth the effort that I feel has been stifled until now.

  1. Best of luck to you. It's always scary to leave the unknown and take off in a new direction.

    1. Yes it is, and I did have a moment of panic that evening after handing in my resignation. But beyond that I've felt very good about my decision. I see potential doors opening that I may have missed due to my being at that job. Time will tell.

  2. YOu are so brave! A friend of a friend took the same leap of faith and it paid off so I hope the same happens to you. She was basically in the same rut and wasn't getting anywhere so she quit and made finding a job her full time position and I think the fear and extra time to devote to the project helped her find an internship which eventually led to her full time paying dream job. Good luck friend and I'm looking forward to seeing how everything unfolds. *hugs*

    1. Thanks Hope! I was definitely in a rut and a drastic change I think was needed. I have faith it'll pay off, cause I'm not going back!
