Thursday's Treasures

Jimmy Choo Kemp

Part of the Jimmy Choo Fall/Winter collection, these patent leather and multi-color thread bootie is certainly an eye-catcher. I could easily see these booties used in a multitude of ways because of all the colors in the fabric. They could be an eye-popping statement with a simple little black dress, or an edgy addition to a casual ensemble of cropped pants and a flowy top.

Jimmy Choo Vamp

Also part of the JC fall/winter collection the vamp is a classic high heeled sandal with a bit of twist since it's suede instead of leather. I love the texture the suede gives the shoe and the medium tan color is versatile enough to fit into any wardrobe.

Proenza Schouler Fall 2011 Ready-To-Wear

Normally Proenza Schouler is a line that doesn't jump out to me. Designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez like to mix bold colors and contrasting prints, which done correctly can create a killer ensemble but it's usually out of my comfort zone. The same thing goes for this year's fall ready-to-wear collection where the spirit of the southwest as found it's way into many designer's collections. Bold prints with colors of the southwest, burnt reds and oranges, yellow, purples and turquoise are among the colors you'll be seeing along with textures like suede, leather and fringe. You can certainly see the influence in this collection and while most of the pieces are still not something I'd wear, there were a few pieces that did jump out at me.
